About Us

Marcus Lewis Coaches Limited is an established, family-run coach operator based in Binley, Coventry. We provide school transport services, private coach hire and group travel for a wide range of customers.

We are currently looking to recruit a reliable, professional and friendly PCV Coach Driver to join our team, primarily undertaking regular home-to-school transport duties.

The Position

Please note that this is primarily a school term-time position.

Driving duties generally take place Monday to Friday, with approximate operating times of:

• Morning: 06:30–09:00
• Afternoon: 14:30–18:00

This is a split-shift position, with a break between morning and afternoon duties. Actual paid working hours will depend on the duties allocated.

Wages are paid monthly.

Additional driving opportunities may also be available, including:

• School trips and swimming transport
• Private coach hire
• Weekend work
• Occasional work during school holidays

These additional duties are optional and subject to availability.

Requirements

The successful applicant should have:

• A valid PCV Category D driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A valid digital tachograph card where required for allocated duties.
• An enhanced DBS check, including the appropriate children’s barred-list check where the role is eligible.
• A professional and courteous approach to passengers.
• Good timekeeping, reliability and flexibility.
• A commitment to passenger safety.

Previous experience in school transport would be advantageous but is not essential.

Applicants based in Coventry, Rugby or surrounding areas would be particularly welcome, due to the need to travel reliably to our Binley depot.
