Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Provide patient care including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs under supervision or as trained
• Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through companionship, engagement, and emotional support
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning client living areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
• Document care provided accurately in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to healthcare teams
• Assist with transfers and heavy lifting using proper techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers

Skills

• Previous experience working with individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments
• Strong patient care skills with knowledge of dementia, hospice, or senior care practices
• Ability to handle medication administration accurately following protocols
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Excellent caregiving skills combined with physical stamina for heavy lifting and mobility assistance
• Compassionate communication skills for engaging clients empathetically and effectively
• Basic cleaning skills to maintain a clean living space for clients
