Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Tagalog Speaking Preferred

Safe Umbrella Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide in-home support to a client.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in providing personal care and who is comfortable preparing Filipino or Vietnamese-style meals.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and companionship
• Assist with activities of daily living as required
• Prepare meals according to the client's preferences
• Prepare Filipino and/or Vietnamese-style home-cooked meals
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment
• Follow the client's care plan and individual preferences
• Communicate professionally with the client and family
• Report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor

Qualifications

• PSW certificate or relevant caregiving experience
• Previous experience providing in-home or community-based care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prepare Filipino or Vietnamese-style meals
• Reliable, patient and compassionate
• Tagalog language skills are an asset and preferred for this assignment
• Ability to work independently while following the client's care plan
• Vulnerable Sector Check and other required documentation
