What they need

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this vital role, you will provide advanced nursing services, perform comprehensive assessments, and collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of patient populations, from pediatric to geriatric, in both outpatient and inpatient environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while working within a vibrant, team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and DEA regulations.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions such as pain, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal issues, geriatrics, and behavioral health concerns.
  • Perform specialized procedures including suturing, IV infusions, catheterizations, spinal taps, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and esthetic laser treatments.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines—such as physicians, therapists, and specialists—to coordinate patient care and facilitate seamless discharge planning.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records management.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices within the organization.

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently or under collaborative practice agreements.
  • Proven experience working in diverse clinical settings such as emergency medicine, critical care (ICU/Level I & II trauma centers), hospital medicine, or outpatient clinics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques (e.g., sonography), and medical imaging interpretation.
  • Experience performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for diagnoses documentation.
  • Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or emergency room exposure is highly preferred; additional experience in telehealth or home care is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law, hospice & palliative medicine principles, geriatrics—including dementia care—and behavioral health practices is desirable.

Join us if you're passionate about delivering comprehensive patient-centered care that spans from acute pain management to complex chronic disease management! We’re committed to supporting your professional growth through ongoing education opportunities while fostering a collaborative environment where your expertise makes a real difference every day.
