What they need
Seeking a part-time psychiatrist (30 hrs/week) for an on-site correctional facility role, with a compensation of $275,000-$320,000 annually.
Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, developing and adjusting treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing brief psychotherapy.
Must respond to psychiatric emergencies, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and offer guidance to correctional staff on mental health issues.
Ensure accurate documentation, compliance with laws, and participate in ongoing education and training.
Qualifications include an MD or DO, valid license, experience in psychiatric care (preferably correctional or underserved populations), and strong assessment and communication skills.
