Psychiatrist

We are seeking an independently licensed Psychiatrist in California to join our practice as a 1099 independent contractor on a part-time basis. This position offers a flexible schedule of 8–12 hours per week and may be conducted via telehealth or in a hybrid format from our Walnut Creek office.

The psychiatrist will provide evidence-based medication management services, including intake evaluations and follow-up treatment appointments. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience treating trauma and work-related concerns, and those familiar with the workers’ compensation system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial intake evaluations
• Provide follow-up medication management and/or psychotherapy appointments
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
• Deliver care in accordance with professional, ethical, and legal standards
• Communicate effectively and professionally with relevant parties, as appropriate

QualificationsRequired

• Independent licensure as a Psychiatrist in California
• Ability to practice independently and maintain appropriate clinical documentation
• Strong assessment, psychopharmacology, and treatment planning skills

Preferred

• Experience with the workers’ compensation population
• Experience providing trauma-focused treatment
• Experience addressing work-related issues

Compensation

• $375 per 75 min intake assessment appointment
• $150 per 30 min med management appointment
• $225 per 45 min psychotherapy appointment

Pay: $225.00 - $300.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
