Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Psychiatrist role based at The Ark in White River. The Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with stabilization, recovery, or assessment goals. Daily responsibilities include providing ongoing medication management, offering psychoeducation, and collaborating with psychologists, therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care. The role also involves participating in case reviews, documenting clinical encounters in accordance with professional standards, and contributing to the refinement of therapeutic programs. The Psychiatrist will support a safe, therapeutic environment and may provide consultation on complex cases and crisis management as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine and Psychiatry, with the ability to integrate medical and psychiatric knowledge in assessment and treatment.
• Demonstrated expertise in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health, including experience with mood, anxiety, psychotic, and trauma-related disorders.
• Experience or interest in Adolescent Psychiatry and broader Psychiatry practice across diverse age groups.
• Valid medical degree (MD or equivalent) with completed psychiatric residency and appropriate board certification or eligibility.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Psychiatrist (or eligibility to obtain licensure) in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proficiency in clinical interviewing, risk assessment, and evidence-based therapeutic and pharmacologic interventions.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills for working within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ethical practice, trauma-informed care, and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
