Psychological Associate (Post-Doc)

Job Summary

Nixon Psychological Institute is seeking Psychological Associate(s) for our in-office practice in Chino, CA to provide psychotherapy and assessments to children, adolescents, and adults. The ideal candidate will have experience with individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, and assessments in a private practice setting. In addition, the candidate will have completed their doctoral program and is focused on accumulating their licensure hours. The position will be a hybrid position to accommodate clients who want to be seen by telehealth or in-person. Supervision will be provided by a licensed psychologist.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, family, group, and couples therapy sessions.
• Conduct intake sessions, case plans, and treatment planning for clients.
• Assess individuals for a range of physiological diagnoses (children, adolescents, and adults).
• Manage the client’s treatment plan.
• Attend weekly supervision meetings to maintain professional development and professional growth opportunities.
• Complete required training on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times when interacting with clients, colleagues, and other staff members.

Education: Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PsyD) or Philosophy (PhD)

Additional education: Two or more years of experience as a psychotherapist preferred; Experience working with children and adolescents preferred; Experience working with families preferred; Experience supervising mental health providers preferred; Knowledge of child welfare laws preferred but not required; Knowledge of community resources preferred but not required.

Experience: Experience with children, adolescents, adults, families, or couples is preferred but not required

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
