What they need

Psychologist – Mind Connect Psychology, Kogarah

Location: Kogarah, NSW
Employment Options: Full-Time or Permanent Part-Time

Who we are

Mind Connect Psychology is a warm, values-driven private practice in the heart of Kogarah. Our mission is simple: to create a connected, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment for our clients and our team.

We’re proud of our reputation across the St George and Sutherland Shire, with strong referral pathways from local GPs, schools, and allied health professionals. As an NDIS-registered, neuro-affirming clinic, we prioritise respectful, evidence-based, and client-centred care.

Our modern and spacious practice is moments from public transport, cafés, shops, and great coffee - making it an easy and enjoyable place to come to work.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a passionate, collaborative Psychologist who wants to be part of a genuinely supportive team culture. Experience with children and adolescents is highly valued, though not essential - what matters most is your commitment to quality care and your alignment with our core values: Integrity, Acceptance, Balance, Connection, and Growth.

This role is suited to an experienced psychologist who thrives in a team environment and values ongoing learning, autonomy, and connection.

Beyond all else - we are looking for the right person, the right fit. YOU, your values, your personality, matter more to us than your CV!

Why choose Mind Connect Psychology?

A workplace built on real connection.

Private practice can be isolating - not here! We intentionally cultivate community and support through:

  • Regular 1:1 internal clinical supervision with Board Approved Supervisors
  • Regular group supervision
  • Quarterly team days - Because connection matters! These provide an opportunity to unwind, bond, and have fun together

A practice designed to help you thrive:

  • Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience, qualifications and fit for the role
  • Incredible administrative support from our onsite Practice Manager and Client Experience Officers
  • Maximum of 6 client facing hours per day
  • A minimum of one afternoon/evening shifts per week, balanced with later start times on these days to support sustainable and flexible work arrangements
  • Allocated and calendar blocked time for administration and professional development
  • Online practice management software (Halaxy) so admin stays simple
  • Ability to build a caseload tailored to your preferred client profile
  • Beautifully resourced rooms - especially for child and adolescent work (sand trays, art materials, therapeutic games)
  • A genuinely supportive, collaborative team that celebrates milestones and enjoys coffee, cake, and connection
  • Generous professional development and external supervision budget

Most importantly:

You’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of people in our local community, while feeling valued, supported, and connected every step of the way.

A typical day at Mind Connect Psychology might include:

  • Developing thoughtful, comprehensive case conceptualisations.
  • Creating and delivering individualised, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Providing psychological interventions such as CBT, EMDR, Schema Therapy and other modalities.
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools, GPs, and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely notes and correspondence.

What you’ll bring

  • Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist.
  • Eligibility for a Medicare provider number.
  • WWCC and willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Check.
  • Professional indemnity insurance.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in private practice, community, health, or educational settings.
  • Strong assessment, formulation, and diagnostic skills.
  • Assessment experience (e.g. WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, WAIS, ADOS, ADI-R, Conners) - preferred, not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Your own device for use at the practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional and personal development.
