Psychologist

About the role

This is a 3-day-per-week, in-clinic position based at Therapea Health's Werribee practice. The role offers an interesting combination of in-clinic psychological therapy, standardised psychological and diagnostic assessments, autism, ADHD and ID assessments, report writing and recommendations, telehealth consultations where clinically appropriate, and opportunities for home-based work on additional days if desired. Psychologists work with a varied client population, including Medicare, WorkCover, Victims of Crime, veterans, NDIS and private clients, providing both therapeutic and assessment services. The practice has a significant neurodivergent client population and is seeking a psychologist who practices in a respectful, neuro-affirming and evidence-based manner, recognising individual strengths and differences while remaining clinically rigorous, balanced and responsive to each client's functional needs and circumstances.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in-clinic psychological therapy
• Conduct standardised psychological and diagnostic assessments
• Perform autism, ADHD, IDD, cognitive and adaptive behaviour assessments
• Write reports and provide recommendations
• Deliver telehealth consultations where clinically appropriate
• Work with varied client populations across Medicare, WorkCover, Victims of Crime, Veterans, NDIS and private funding streams
• Collaborate with psychologists and other allied health practitioners
• Act as a sounding board for Provisional Psychologists

• Experienced enough to occasionally act as a sounding board for Provisional Psychologists

KPIs for General Registered Psychologists are designed to be achievable and sustainable, based on approximately 5.5 billable hours per day, allowing appropriate time for administration, assessment work, professional development and collaboration. An experienced and committed administration team manages appointment scheduling and all client queries and calls, allowing clinicians to concentrate on supporting their clients.

Hours and flexibility

The position is initially 3 days per week in-clinic at our Werribee practice.

Once your caseload reaches capacity, there is scope to increase your hours if desired through additional clinic days, or work from home, depending on the nature of the work and the needs of the practice.

We’re interested in building a long-term relationship with the right psychologist, rather than simply filling days on a roster.
