About the role

We are seeking for a Part-Time Editor. In this part-time position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our published content. As an editor, you will be responsible for reviewing, refining and perfecting written materials across various formats and platforms. Key responsibilities

• Review and edit written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity and consistency
• Ensure all published materials align with Real Finance's editorial standards, brand voice and style guidelines
• Provide constructive feedback to writers and contributors to improve content quality
• Fact-check and verify information for accuracy before publication
• Coordinate with authors and production teams to meet publication deadlines
• Manage editorial workflows and maintain comprehensive editing records
• Suggest structural and content improvements to enhance readability and impact

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as an editor or in a related editorial capacity within publishing or media
• Strong command of English grammar, syntax and style conventions
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
• Proficiency in editing software and content management systems
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback
• Knowledge of fact-checking methodologies and research practices
• Familiarity with the financial services industry or business publishing is advantageous
• Ability to work flexibly within a part-time capacity and adapt to changing priorities
