Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment.
• Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and sanitizing high-touch areas to uphold sanitation standards.
• Utilize proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies or equipment to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order through routine inspections and basic maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely and adhere strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach when interacting with staff or visitors.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment including vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to facilities maintenance and chemical handling safety procedures.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
