PT Library Assistant I

Overview
Hudson Library is seeking one enthusiastic Part-Time Library Assistants. This is 16 - 20 hours per week, with weekend work required. Starting salary is $10.96 per hour. No benefits or paid time off.

The ideal candidates will be team players who can provide library services to meet the needs of the public. Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with locating materials and navigating library services
• Checking materials in and out
• Creating and updating patron accounts
• Collecting fines and fees
• Reader's Advisory
• Shelving materials
• Facilitates patron usage of computers and printers
• Works cooperatively with staff throughout Fontana Regional Library
• Processing donations
• Handling inventory

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of customer service experience is required
• One year of library experience is recommended
• Commitment to quality customer service with excellent communication skills
• Strong technology skills
• A familiarity with current reading trends

Pay: From $10.96 per hour
