PTW Coordinator

Key Responsibilities Permit-to-Work Management

• Administer and maintain the project's Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
• Review, issue, monitor, suspend, and close permits in accordance with project procedures.
• Ensure all permits are properly authorized before work commencement.
• Maintain permit registers and records for audit purposes.

Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, electrical, mechanical, and civil teams regarding permit requirements.
• Verify work areas are safe before issuing permits.
• Ensure compliance with client, company, and regulatory HSE requirements.
• Interface with subcontractors to ensure PTW compliance.

High-Risk Activity Control

• Monitor permits related to:

• Electrical work (LV/MV/HV)

• Energization activities

• Hot work

• Excavation and trenching

• Working at height

• Lifting operations

• Confined space entry

• Commissioning and testing activities

• Ensure required risk assessments and method statements are approved before permit issuance.

HSE Oversight

• Conduct site inspections to verify permit compliance.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Ensure isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and energy control procedures are implemented.
• Report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain PTW logs and databases.
• Prepare daily and weekly permit status reports.
• Support HSE audits and project inspections.
• Ensure proper document control and retention of permit records.

Training & Awareness

• Provide PTW awareness training to employees and subcontractors.
• Guide supervisors and contractors on permit requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project.
