Pub Chef

You will be joining an enthusiastic team working in a beautiful and historic village pub. We are looking for experienced, hands on chefs who can help uphold our reputation for great fresh food and can help develop an engaging and varied menu.

Due to lack of public transport in this area own transport is essential.

Candidates must have a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard. Ideal candidates will have a proven background in high quality catering; be able to demonstrate great organisational skills and a drive to succeed and grow the business.

Key Skills:

• Responsibility for daily operations and running of the kitchen
• Proven experience as a chef and ability to maintain kitchen standards
• A confident, self-motivated, driven and professional person
• Must be able to work with and develop the kitchen team
• Understanding of fresh produce and local fish.
• Passionate about fresh food and creating new dishes
• The ability to invent and develop menus
• Liaising with suppliers for food orders
• Managing and controlling stock and kitchen costs
• Implementing health and safety procedures in the kitchen

• Food Hygiene (Preferred)
• Health & Safety (Preferred)
