Job Summary

Great American Pub is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hospitality-focused Pub Manager to oversee daily pub operations and lead the team in providing an excellent experience for every guest. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage a busy pub environment while maintaining high standards for service, cleanliness, safety, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pub operations and ensure smooth service
• Lead, supervise, and support front-of-house and back-of-house team members
• Create a welcoming and professional environment for guests
• Monitor service quality and ensure consistent hospitality standards
• Assist with staff scheduling, shift assignments, and coverage
• Train, coach, and develop team members on service and operational procedures
• Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns professionally
• Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards
• Oversee POS operations, cash handling, and daily sales procedures
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of food, beverages, and supplies
• Monitor stock levels and communicate purchasing needs
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance throughout the pub
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and responsible alcohol-service procedures
• Review daily operations and address issues that affect service or efficiency
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Support special events, promotions, and busy service periods
• Prepare or review operational reports as required
• Work closely with ownership and management to improve service and business performance
• Perform other management duties assigned by company leadership

Requirements

• Previous pub, bar, restaurant, hospitality, or food-service management experience preferred
• Strong leadership and team-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of food, beverage, and restaurant operations
• Experience with POS systems and cash-handling procedures
• Understanding of inventory and cost-control practices
• Ability to handle guest concerns calmly and professionally
• Reliable, professional, and results-oriented work ethic
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and move throughout the pub for extended periods

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
