Pub Manager – Connah's Quay

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Pub Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and development of a substantial licensed hospitality business in Connah's Quay.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who wants the freedom to develop a family-friendly, food-led community business with multiple revenue streams.

The site offers significant potential, with a large trading area, established kitchen facilities and six letting rooms, alongside traditional wet sales, events and community trade.

The Opportunity

The manager receives an agreed percentage of weekly turnover, providing strong earning potential as the business grows.

We provide:

• All wet and dry stock
• Utility and property costs
• EPOS and card payment facilities
• Fully equipped trading premises
• Operational support

Your focus will be on running the business, building a strong team and driving sales across food, drink and accommodation.

Developing the Business

We are particularly looking for someone who can:

• Develop a strong family-friendly food offering
• Build lunchtime, evening and weekend food trade
• Establish the business as a welcoming hub for the local community
• Develop and maximise income from the six letting rooms
• Build relationships with local businesses and organisations
• Develop functions, celebrations and community events
• Grow sports and entertainment trade
• Introduce regular events, quizzes and promotions
• Use social media effectively to drive awareness and footfall
• Identify and develop new revenue opportunities

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Overall day-to-day management
• Recruiting, managing and motivating the team
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Driving food and drink sales
• Overseeing the letting-room operation
• Developing events and promotions
• Stock and cash control
• Maintaining excellent operating standards
• Licensing and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

Previous pub management experience is essential.

Applicants must also hold a current Personal Licence.

Experience within a food-led operation and/or letting accommodation would be particularly advantageous.

We're looking for someone who is hands-on, commercially minded, customer focused and enthusiastic about developing a substantial business and becoming part of the local community.

The percentage-based structure gives the successful manager the opportunity to directly benefit from the growth they create.
