Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and guest clothing items in accordance with hotel standards.
• Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of floors and surfaces, utilizing floor care techniques such as vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to ensure a pristine appearance.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while performing heavy lifting tasks related to laundry loads or cleaning supplies.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly when necessary, ensuring guest safety at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or inquiries related to public areas or laundry services, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience within the hospitality industry or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling techniques.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and bending.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management processes and hotel emergency procedures is preferred.
• Prior experience with hotel housekeeping or custodial responsibilities is highly desirable.
