PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSOCIATE

• Oijo is looking for an Associate for its PR Wing
• As a PR Associate you will be responsible for creating pitches, proposals and presentations (including on PPT), ideating on and determining strategy, making media lists, drafting and sending out press releases and liaising with clients and the press, online, on phone and on ground
• You will be expected to build relationships with and a network within the press and use the same to execute clients PR goals
• You will also be expected to create content and strategy for social media influencers and liaise with social media influencers and portals to complement traction clients are getting on press

Duties and Responsibilities

• Making pitches, proposals and presentations (including PPT) to clients Ideating on media strategy and writing up media plans and media calendars
• Composing media lists (lists of press emails) as per what each press release requires
• Drafting and sending out press releases and coordinating and sending additional material such as images and videos
• Identifying and creating pitches for the media
• Dealing with clients on email, phone, digitally and via in-person meetings and presentations
• Liaising with the press through emails, follow up calls, meetings and being on ground during events and actions
• Building relationships with journalists and a network within the press Creating strategy and content for talking points for interviews Briefing clients on context and background
  Creating and executing crisis communications strategy
• Writing social media content in the form of tweets and Instagram and Facebook captions for influencers to circulate, which complement press campaigns and actions
• Approach and coordinate with social media influencers and portals for the dissemination of such content
• Maintain and share records of on-going conversations as well as secured coverage
• Curate, create and present dossiers of coverage with AVE
