Public Relations Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and execute public relations and communication strategies aligned with the school's objectives.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with media houses, journalists, educational partners, and community stakeholders.
• Draft press releases, media briefs, speeches, newsletters, and official communications.
• Coordinate media coverage for school events, achievements, and initiatives.
• Manage the school's external communication, brand reputation, and public image.
• Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to support branding and enrollment campaigns.
• Handle crisis communication and respond to public inquiries professionally.
• Organize press conferences, community outreach programs, and promotional events.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR activities and outcomes.
• Manage content for social media, website updates, and other communication platforms.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Corporate Communication, Marketing, Brand Management, Journalism, or a related field.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Branding, or Media Relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong networking and relationship-management abilities.
• Experience in media engagement, content development, and event management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and digital communication platforms.
• Experience in the education sector is preferred.
