Public Relations Senior Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement and manage public relations strategies to build a strong and positive image of the company’s brand and products.
• Monitor PR visibility in the market, analyse results and insights, and optimise plans and programmes based on data.
• Create compelling press releases and other PR materials that highlight product key selling points and positioning messages across different product lifecycle stages.
• Proactively pitch timely stories, interviews and engagement opportunities based on industry trends, new products and innovations.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key tech media, journalists and influencers.
• Craft and edit a range of content, including press releases, marketing collaterals and social media postings.
• Develop and execute PR plans to maximise product and brand visibility across newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcast, newswires, social media and blogs.
• Work closely with the broader marketing team and external agencies to drive integrated public relations efforts.

Job Requirements

• Must possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ working experience in public relations, communications or a similar role.
• Prior experience in the Telecommunication or Consumer Electronics industry is preferred.
• Required languages: English, Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu (Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders).
• Passionate about the mobile phone industry and familiar with current market trends.
• Proven ability to create results-driven PR and communications content that aligns with business objectives.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong writing and content generation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and levels.
• Strong relationships with Malaysian media.
