Project Manager I – Municipal Infrastructure & Library Facilities

Candidates with design experience are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

* Manage multiple municipal infrastructure and facility improvement projects from planning through close-out.
* Coordinate project planning, design, permitting, construction, and commissioning activities.
* Develop, monitor, and control project scope, budgets, and schedules.
* Review and coordinate construction documents.
* Facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
* Monitor construction activities and resolve project issues proactively.
* Prepare and negotiate change orders.
* Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
* Ensure successful project delivery while maintaining client expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

* Minimum 5 years of progressive project management experience with concurrent field construction experience.
* Licensed Professional Engineer or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Experience managing municipal infrastructure projects through planning, design, permitting, construction, and project close-out.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Experience with project planning and development.
* Ability to independently manage all phases of multiple projects.
* Experience developing and managing project scope, budgets, and schedules.
* Experience reviewing construction documents.
* Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder coordination skills.
* Experience negotiating and administering change orders.
* Knowledge of CEQA and NEPA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

* Design experience.
* Job Order Contracting (JOC) project delivery.
* Design-Bid-Build project delivery.
* Deferred Maintenance and Refurbishment projects.
* Knowledge of California Public Contracting Code and public sector contracting practices.

Pay: $75.00 - $88.00 per hour
