Public Works Worker

Job Summary
Public Works is a position responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and maintenance of public infrastructure and services. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills to ensure that all public works projects are executed efficiently and effectively. The employee will collaborate with the head of Public Works, including government officials, community members, and contractors, to enhance the quality of life in the community through sustainable practices and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of public works operations, including road maintenance, meter reading, and winter snow plowing.
• Coordinate with local government agencies, contractors, and community organizations to foster collaboration on public works projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all public works activities.

• Qualifications:
• Proven experience in public works management or a similar role within municipal government or private sector.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure development processes, project management principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage diverse groups effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions for community challenges.
