Pūkenga Whakawhanake - Development Engineer (fixed term - 8 months)

You will help ensure infrastructure for new developments meets current standards by providing advice and reviewing and inspecting urban and rural resource and building consent applications.

Ideally, you will hold a New Zealand Certificate in Engineering and have three years’ experience in civil engineering. However, we also welcome applications from candidates with less experience or other relevant qualifications who are keen to develop their careers.

To thrive in this role you will be somebody who has good time management skills, as the position often requires the management of multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, you will need strong problem solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to interact with a wide range of people. Being a team player with an excellent sense of humour will also be key.
