Pulmonary Function Technician

We have both a Full Time and Part Time Position available.

We have 5 office locations. The full time position is in Lansdale and

the part time position is in Yardley.

All training will be done in our Lansdale location.

Responsibilities:

Perform pulmonary function testing, including spirometry and complete PFT's

Perform 6 minute walk tests to access for supplemental oxygen needs

Perform Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) testing

Type and prepare physician interpretations/reports for PFT's

Complete and coordinate DME orders and oxygen documentation

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Respond to patient inquiries and provide troubleshooting and assistance when needed

Provides appropriate instruction to patients and family members

Work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff

Provide a welcoming, professional experience for outpatient pulmonary patients

Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA compliance requirements

Qualitifications

Respiratory Therapist preferred

Candidates with other relevant medical/healthcare backgrounds will also be considered

Experience with PFT's, oxygen qualification testing, or pulmonary care is preferred

Strong communication and patient care skills

Detail oriented and comfortable working independently

Computer literate and comfortable using electronic medical records and clinical software

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
