Pump Technician

NORMco Pump & Power, LLC is a growing provider of pumping equipment, fluid-transfer solutions, equipment rentals, sales, service, and custom manufacturing. We support customers across a variety of industries, including construction, municipal and industrial operations, mining, agriculture, oil & gas, and other demanding applications.

We are looking for an experienced Pump Technician to join our team in North Texas. This position is ideal for a skilled, dependable technician who has strong mechanical abilities, enjoys troubleshooting equipment, and is comfortable working both in the shop and in the field.

Position Summary:

The Senior Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining diesel-powered pumping equipment and related components. This position will also provide field service and technical support to customers as needed.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting equipment under field conditions, and responding to service calls when customer needs arise.

Key Responsibilities:

· Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel engines and centrifugal pump systems.

· Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on rental and customer-owned equipment.

· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel-system issues.

· Inspect pumps, engines, trailers, hoses, fittings, and related equipment.

· Perform equipment repairs in both shop and field environments.

· Respond to customer service calls and emergency equipment issues.

· Assist with equipment setup, startup, testing, and troubleshooting at customer locations.

· Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.

· Properly use and maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles.

· Follow NORMco safety procedures and customer/jobsite safety requirements.

· Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other team members.

· Assist and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians when needed.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Strong experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines and industrial equipment.

· Experience with centrifugal pumps and pumping systems is strongly preferred.

· Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

· Ability to diagnose equipment problems and complete repairs with limited supervision.

· Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and mechanical systems is preferred.

· Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and service documentation.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

· Must be willing and able to travel to customer and jobsite locations as needed.

· Must be available for overtime, after-hours service calls, and on-call work when required.

· Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather and jobsite conditions.

· Ability to safely lift, carry, climb, bend, and perform the physical duties associated with equipment service and repair.

· Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Compensation:

$30.00+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Experienced candidates with extensive diesel engine, pump, or field-service experience may be considered for compensation above the starting range.

Work Environment:

This is a hands-on position that includes both shop and field work. Technicians may work at customer facilities, construction sites, industrial locations, and other field environments. Some assignments may require extended hours, overtime, or emergency response.
