Job Overview

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and instructions
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Monitor health status, report changes or concerns promptly, and coordinate with healthcare professionals as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments preferred
• Strong background in patient care, senior care, hospice care or working with individuals with disabilities
• Knowledge of dementia care and experience supporting clients with cognitive impairments is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate attitude towards clients of all ages and backgrounds
• Valid certification in medication administration or willingness to obtain required training
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed
