Job Purpose

To efficiently manage day-to-day purchase activities, inventory and stores operations, material movement, vendor coordination, and local procurement requirements. The candidate should also be capable of driving a company four-wheeler for material collection, document submission, and other official requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Purchase Activities

• Identify and coordinate with suppliers for materials, consumables, tools, spares, and other requirements.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate with vendors, and prepare Purchase Orders.
• Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding quality, quantity, pricing, and delivery issues.
• Maintain purchase records, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier details.
• Develop and maintain a reliable local supplier network.

2. Stores & Inventory

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantity against Purchase Orders and delivery documents.
• Ensure proper identification, tagging, storage, and issue of materials.
• Maintain stock records and inventory registers.
• Issue materials to production and other departments against authorized requests.
• Monitor minimum stock levels and inform the Purchase/Management team about replenishment requirements.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and systematic arrangement of the stores.

3. Material Collection & Local Procurement

• Collect materials, tools, spares, documents, and other items from suppliers whenever required.
• Visit vendors, transport offices, courier agencies, banks, and other locations for official work.
• Ensure safe handling and timely delivery of purchased materials to the company.

4. Four-Wheeler Driving

• Drive the company vehicle safely for official and material-related requirements.
• Transport materials, documents, employees, or company representatives as required.
• Maintain the vehicle in good operating condition and report servicing or repair requirements.
• Ensure valid driving licence and compliance with road safety requirements.

5. Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain purchase and stores documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with Accounts for supplier invoices, GRN/material receipts, and payment-related documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Administration for material requirements.
• Maintain records of pending purchases, deliveries, and material shortages.

Required Skills

• 2–5 years of experience in Purchase / Stores / Inventory preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of local suppliers and procurement practices.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Email, and ERP/software.
• Good communication and vendor negotiation skills.
• Ability to maintain inventory and purchase records systematically.
• Valid four-wheeler driving licence with practical driving experience.
• Willingness to travel locally for procurement and official requirements.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Honest, responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Preferred Qualification

• Diploma / ITI / Any Graduate / equivalent qualification.
• Experience in an engineering, electrical, manufacturing, or industrial company will be an advantage.

Note: The role is a combination of Purchase + Stores + Local Procurement + Four-Wheeler Driving, so preference should be given to candidates who are comfortable with both office-based documentation and field-level material collection.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
