Purchase Assistant - Battery Divison

• Identify and develop new suppliers and battery manufacturers.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations, product catalogues, datasheets, and technical specifications.
• Follow up on pricing, payment terms, lead times, warranty, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain good relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Prepare and issue RFQs based on sales orders, customer requirements, and stock requirements.
• Compare supplier quotations and prepare price comparison sheets.
• Prepare purchase orders after obtaining the necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure timely procurement.
• Follow up on pending orders, delivery schedules, and backorders.
• Verify battery capacity, voltage, dimensions, model numbers, warranty, and manufacturer specifications.
• Check product availability, shelf life, manufacturing dates, and supplier documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Master or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical engineering field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations. Experience in the battery, automotive, electrical, or power solutions industry is an advantage.
• Basic understanding & familiarity of battery technologies, automotive batteries, UPS batteries, Industrial batteries, Lithium-ion batteries, Lead-acid batteries, Solar batteries and related accessories, electrical specifications, voltage, capacity, and battery applications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP or inventory management systems.
• Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred.
