Purchase Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for construction/infrastructure requirements.
• Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Collect quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and Work Orders (WOs).
• Coordinate with project/site teams for material and service requirements.
• Monitor POs, Work Orders, deliveries, and vendor performance.
• Maintain vendor database, procurement records, and support cost optimization.
• Coordinate with accounts, stores, and project teams for smooth procurement operations.

Requirements

• 3–10 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement with a Construction, Infrastructure, or EPC company.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendor management, Work Orders, negotiation, and procurement processes.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
