Job Description: Purchase Associate

Qualification: B.E. (Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related stream)
Software Skills: ERP System, AutoCAD (Basic Drawing & Reading Skills), MS Office
Prefer Candidate Location : Mumbai Location only (Near By candidate only)
Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD) shared by the design/engineering team for identifying material requirements.
• Float enquiries to suppliers, collect quotations, and prepare comparison sheets for approval.
• Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely material delivery.
• Evaluate and onboard new vendors as per company standards.
• Coordinate with production, design, and stores departments for smooth material flow.
• Maintain stock records, GRN entries, and purchase documentation for audits.
• Negotiate with vendors for best prices, lead times, and payment terms.
• Track and report purchase status, pending orders, and cost-saving measures.
• Support development and sourcing of rubber components, moulds, and consumables.
• Ensure adherence to companys quality, safety, and compliance requirements.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of engineering components and technical drawings.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of material types used in rubber and manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (for reading and basic editing of drawings).
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Team coordination and supplier relationship management.
