Purchase Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

To manage the commercial, costing, and vendor development of Sheet Metal & Fabrication. The role focuses on building competitive supplier partnerships, driving cost optimization through Zero-Based Costing (ZBC),ensuring quality and delivery compliance, and enabling smooth New Product Development(NPD) for assigned Module.

Preferred candidate profile:

Drive cost reduction through ZBC, value engineering, and alternate sourcing for assigned (Sheet Metal /Fabrication).

Conduct cost analysis and finalize pricing in line with company benchmarks.

Monitor inflation/deflation trends in Sheet Metal & Fabrication and proactively manage impact on sourcing cost.

Negotiate long-term contracts with suppliers to lock in cost advantages.

Deliver part-level cost savings and cost-avoidance targets to contribute to annual financial goals.
