Purchase Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Sourcing and Procurement:

• Source suppliers and vendors for goods, services, and materials.

• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers.

• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.

• Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts.

2. Technical Evaluation:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs.

• Evaluate technical specifications and requirements.

• Conduct site visits and audits as necessary.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure purchased items meet quality standards.

• Collaborate with quality control teams.

• Implement and monitor quality control processes.

4. Cost Management:

• Analyze market trends and pricing.

• Implement cost-saving initiatives.

• Conduct spend analysis and benchmarking.

5. Supply Chain Management:

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.

• Monitor supply chain disruptions.

• Implement risk mitigation strategies.

6. Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Adhere to regulatory requirements.

7. Communication and Collaboration:

• Communicate with clients across departments.

• Collaborate with engineering teams.

• Provide procurement status updates.

Preferred candidate profile

• Electrical , Automation technical knowledge.

• Negotiation and communication skills

• Familiarity with procurement software and systems.
