Qualification: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain or related field

Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer to manage procurement, vendor development, negotiations, and timely availability of materials for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand purchase requirements and plan procurement accordingly.

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and vendors.

• Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.

• Collect and compare quotations and negotiate prices and terms.

• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).

• Coordinate with Design, Production, Stores, and Quality teams for purchase requirements.

• Ensure timely delivery of materials as per quality and production requirements.

• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery.

• Maintain supplier and product data in the ERP system.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.

• Follow up with vendors and resolve purchase or supply-related issues.

• Visit vendors and suppliers as required for procurement and coordination.

Skills & Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement in a manufacturing company.

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain or related field.

• Good understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

• Working knowledge of ERP and MS Office.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to vendor locations as required.
