Job Description: Purchase and Procurement Associate

Location: Malad West, Mumbai

Shift: 05:30 PM – 02:30 AM (US Shift) (5 Days Working)

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase and Procurement Associate to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement procedures, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, maintain strong relationships with existing vendors, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Procurement Planning: Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and develop procurement strategies to meet business requirements.
• Purchase Orders: Create and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, delivery terms, and product specifications.
• Cost Management: Monitor and analyze spending patterns, negotiate prices, and look for opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and service standards.79
• Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering of stock, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Documentation: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and related documentation.
• Supplier Evaluation: Regularly assess supplier performance based on delivery timelines, quality of products/services, and pricing. Implement corrective actions if necessary.
• Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new products, and suppliers to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on procurement activities, spending, and inventory levels to management.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize shipping schedules and reduce lead times.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing (2-4 years preferred).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with procurement software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in managing supplier relationships and contracts.
• Knowledge of global and local sourcing strategies.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.

Work Environment:

• Office-based, with occasional site visits to vendors and suppliers.
• Collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
