About the Role

Mahendra Transformers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of materials, components, and supplies required for smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Source materials based on purchase requirements and production needs.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.
• Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with production, stores, accounts, and other departments regarding material requirements.
• Monitor pending orders and resolve supply-related issues.
• Maintain vendor records, purchase data, quotations, and related documentation.
• Assist in vendor evaluation and performance monitoring.
• Ensure purchases are made within approved budgets and required quality standards.
• Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare regular purchase reports for management.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in manufacturing or industrial organizations.
• Graduate in any discipline; a degree/diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of vendor management and purchase processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic MS Office.
• Ability to compare quotations and analyze prices.
• Good follow-up and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience in transformers, electrical equipment, manufacturing, or engineering industries will be preferred.
