Job Description

We are looking for a Purchase Executive with experience in the Gold & Jewellery Industry. The candidate will handle gold and jewellery material purchases, vendor coordination, rate negotiation, documentation and purchase records.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase Gold, Silver, Diamonds, Gemstones and other jewellery materials.
• Monitor daily gold and silver market rates.
• Coordinate with suppliers and negotiate rates, making charges, wastage and payment terms.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors.
• Check gold purity, weight, hallmarking and required documents.
• Prepare and verify Purchase Orders, invoices and delivery challans.
• Coordinate with Stores, Production and Accounts for material requirements.
• Maintain purchase records and supplier-wise purchase reports.
• Follow up on supplier payments and resolve rate/weight/invoice differences.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow proper procedures for handling precious metals.

Required Skills

• 1+ year experience in Purchase – Gold & Jewellery Industry is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of gold rates, purity, karat, weight and wastage.
• Good vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/SAP.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
