Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services. The candidate will be responsible for vendor management, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to project sites. The ideal candidate should have strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills with prior experience in construction procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
• Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with site engineers, stores, and vendors for timely material delivery.
• Track pending orders and ensure timely follow-up with suppliers.
• Maintain vendor database and evaluate supplier performance.
• Verify purchase bills, invoices, challans, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with the Accounts Department for invoice processing and payment follow-up.
• Ensure procurement complies with company policies and budget requirements.
• Maintain purchase records, MIS reports, and documentation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Requirements

• Graduate (B.Com, BBA, or any equivalent qualification).
• 2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of construction materials and vendor management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, and MS Office.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and coordinate with multiple departments.
