Purchase Executive

Required Skills & Responsibilities

• Good knowledge of industrial mechanical and engineering components.
• Ability to identify suitable suppliers and develop new vendors.
• Experience in sending RFQs and obtaining quotations from multiple suppliers.
• Strong negotiation skills for price, payment terms, delivery, and other commercial conditions.
• Ability to compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of preparing Purchase Orders and following up with suppliers.
• Regular follow-up for material delivery to ensure timely availability.
• Coordination with Production, Maintenance, Stores, and Accounts departments.
• Ability to handle urgent and critical material procurement.
• Knowledge of vendor evaluation and maintaining supplier relationships.
• Basic understanding of GST, invoices, payment terms, and commercial documentation.
• Ability to maintain purchase records and update ERP systems.
• Good communication skills in English and local languages.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of purchase activities. Products to be Procured
• Preferred Qualification
• Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience: 4–5 years in Industrial Purchase / Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing industry like Machine tool/SPM background.
