Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Procurement Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Engineer - Purchase to support procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials and services. The candidate should possess basic knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP MM, Purchase Order (PO) management, Vendor Management, RFQ handling, and Price Negotiation. This role offers excellent growth opportunities for freshers and early-career professionals in procurement and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, process, and track Purchase Orders (POs) through SAP MM.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand material and service requirements.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers and vendors.
• Evaluate vendor quotations based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and technical compliance.
• Support procurement activities including supplier selection and order placement.
• Conduct commercial discussions and assist in price negotiations to achieve cost savings.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in SAP.
• Assist in onboarding new vendors and managing vendor performance.
• Resolve issues related to material shortages, delayed deliveries, and invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, or related discipline).
• 0-2 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain functions.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management) module.
• Understanding of procurement processes, purchase cycle, and vendor management.
