Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities, including raw materials, consumables, services, and maintenance items. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, price negotiations, timely material procurement, inventory coordination, and cost optimization to ensure smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved purchase requisitions and production requirements.
• Develop new vendors for raw materials such as Copper, Brass, Plastic, and other manufacturing components.
• Identify and develop suppliers for plating, surface treatment, power press, hand press, CNC, and transportation services.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Maintain Reorder Levels (ROL) and manage KANBAN systems to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Coordinate with NPD, PPC, Stores, Quality, and Accounts departments for smooth procurement operations.
• Monitor pending Purchase Orders (21, 30, 45+ days) and ensure timely follow-ups with suppliers.
• Handle import procurement activities and coordinate with freight forwarders and CHA for timely customs clearance.
• Monitor and reconcile import and domestic advance payments in coordination with the Accounts department.
• Conduct 3–4 supplier/vendor visits per month for vendor development, audits, and urgent procurement support.
• Evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities, quality performance, and delivery commitments through supplier audits.
• Identify alternate vendors and implement cost-reduction initiatives through effective commercial negotiations.

Educational Qualification

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement within the Manufacturing Industry.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Good knowledge of ferrous, non-ferrous, and plastic materials.
• Understanding of press tools, die sets, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in vendor development, supplier audits, and price negotiations.
• Knowledge of import procurement and customs clearance processes.
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage procurement activities independently.

• Purchase Order (PO) Release Turnaround Time.
• Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD).
• Reduction in pending Purchase Orders.
• Purchase cost savings and cost optimization.
• Timely import shipment clearance.

• Adherence to procurement lead times.

Salary & Remuneration

₹4.00 – 5.00 LPA CTC (Negotiable based on experience, skills, and expertise).

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
