Role & responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for industrial automation products and electrical components.
• Coordinate with suppliers, dealers, and distributors to obtain quotations and competitive pricing.
• Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and maintain purchasing records.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding order confirmation, material availability, and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers.
• Procure automation products such as Siemens PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, control panels, and other electrical components.
• Compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with the sales, stores, accounts, and dispatch departments to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Maintain supplier databases, purchase records, invoices, and order tracking reports.
• Monitor stock requirements and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new vendors.
• Ensure that purchased materials meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 24 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the industrial automation industry.
• Knowledge of automation products such as Siemens PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, relays, control panels, and electrical components is preferred.
• Good negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and email communication.
• Experience in preparing purchase orders and maintaining procurement documentation.
• Strong follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet delivery deadlines.
