Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Vendor Management

· Vendor Development: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for raw materials and standard parts.

· Price Negotiation: Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality.

· Performance Evaluation: Monitor and audit vendor performance regularly based on quality, lead time, and cost-efficiency.

Procurement Operations

· PO Generation: Raise and release Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system based on Material Requisitions (MR) and Bill of Materials (BOM).

· Technical Synchronization: Coordinate closely with the Design and Production teams to understand technical drawings and specifications for custom fixtures and gauges.

· Inward Tracking: Track shipments and follow up with suppliers to ensure the on-time delivery of materials to prevent production downtime.

Inventory & Quality Control

· Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels of standard inventory items to maintain optimum stock levels and minimize holding costs.

· Rejection Handling: Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team regarding material rejection and handle replacement or credit note processes with vendors.

· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of invoices, purchase orders, material test certificates, and vendor agreements.

Experience & Education

· Experience: 3 to 8 years of core procurement experience in a manufacturing setup, specifically dealing with gauges, fixtures, jigs, or precision machined components.

· Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field.

Technical Skills

· Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering raw materials (alloys, tool steel) and standard fixture accessories.

· Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and understand basic 2D/3D engineering drawings to source custom-machined parts.

· Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or local manufacturing ERPs) and MS Excel.

Soft Skills

· Robust negotiation and communication skills.

· Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
