Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Executive – Bought-Out Components to manage procurement activities for manufacturing and project requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of engineering components, vendor development, price negotiation, purchase order processing, and delivery follow-ups.

The candidate must possess excellent English communication skills and be comfortable coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely procurement at competitive costs while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of bought-out components, standard mechanical and electrical components, industrial hardware, valves, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, fittings, fasteners, instruments, and other engineering items.
• Review purchase requisitions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare technical-commercial comparison statements.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, transportation costs, and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare and release Purchase Orders after obtaining the necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Production, Planning, Stores, Quality Control (QC), Projects, and Accounts teams.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials as per production and project schedules.
• Monitor open Purchase Orders and maintain purchase tracking reports.
• Coordinate with the QC team for vendor evaluation, inspections, quality issues, and corrective actions.
• Ensure the availability of required quality documents, test certificates, warranties, and other relevant technical documents.
• Identify alternative suppliers and explore cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Resolve vendor-related delivery, quality, and commercial issues.
• Visit vendor locations when required for meetings, negotiations, supplier evaluations, and order follow-ups.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchase, procurement, or vendor management, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant qualification.
• Good knowledge of bought-out components and industrial engineering materials.
• Ability to understand basic engineering drawings, BOMs, technical specifications, and material requisitions.
• Strong vendor development, negotiation, and commercial evaluation skills.
• Excellent English communication skills are mandatory, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of ERP or procurement software.
• Strong coordination, follow-up, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet delivery deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to vendor or supplier locations whenever required.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
