Purchase Head – Construction

Vera Developers is seeking an experienced Purchase Head to lead procurement operations for our construction projects in Mohali. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in sourcing construction materials, vendor management, cost negotiation, ERP-based procurement, and ensuring timely material availability for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction materials, equipment, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per project schedules.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, accounts, and site teams for material requirements.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, quotations, and comparative statements.
• Handle ERP-based procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, GRN, vendor master data, and material tracking.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and budgets.
• Monitor market trends, material rates, and supplier performance.
• Handle local procurement, logistics coordination, and documentation as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of purchase/procurement experience in a construction or real estate company.
• Hands-on experience in ERP systems for procurement, purchase orders, inventory, and vendor management is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendors, rates, and procurement processes.
• Proven experience in vendor negotiation, cost control, and contract management.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel is required.

Education

• Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
