Purchase Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and manage procurement of construction materials as per project requirements.
• Source and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, compare rates, negotiate prices, and finalize suppliers.
• Prepare and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with site, stores, accounts, and project teams for material requirements.
• Monitor material prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure materials meet required quality, quantity, and specifications.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, and invoices.
• Track pending orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
• Handle vendor issues, payment coordination, and purchase-related documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate/Diploma with relevant experience in construction procurement/purchase.
• Experience in purchasing cement, steel, sand, aggregates, plumbing, electrical, hardware, and other construction materials preferred.
• Good negotiation, communication, and vendor-management skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and purchase/ERP software.
• Experience: 1+ years preferred.
