Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare comparative statements.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with production, stores, maintenance, and quality departments to understand material requirements.
• Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
• Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality, or quantity discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations.
