Purchase Manager

We are looking for Purchase Engineers with an engineering background and hands-on experience in Purchase, Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, and Vendor Management.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing cycle, including technical sourcing, RFQ management, quotation evaluation, vendor negotiation, purchase order creation, and material delivery follow-up.

The ideal candidate should be dynamic, assertive, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and target-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for engineering components, materials, and services.

Identify and develop new suppliers/vendors.

Prepare and release RFQs to qualified vendors.

Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of vendor quotations.

Prepare comparative statements and analyse quotations using MS Excel.

Negotiate with vendors for price, cost reduction, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.

Use e-Auction tools for competitive bidding and cost optimization.

Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate internal approvals.

Follow up with vendors for PO execution, material delivery, quality, and timelines.

Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and records.

Coordinate with engineering and other internal teams to understand technical requirements.

Identify alternative suppliers, materials, and components wherever applicable.

Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Provide regular updates regarding procurement status, savings, delivery timelines, and risks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or any relevant engineering stream.

2–3 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement / Sourcing / Supply Chain Management.

Experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, industrial, or consulting environments will be preferred.

Strong understanding of purchasing and procurement processes.

Hands-on experience in vendor sourcing, vendor management, and negotiation.

Proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and commercial comparisons.

Experience with e-Auction / online bidding tools will be an added advantage.

Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:
