Purchase Manager

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, products, equipment, and services required for the organization. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, monitoring orders, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors.

Obtain and compare quotations based on price, quality, and delivery terms.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

Prepare purchase orders and ensure proper documentation.

Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchase requirements with relevant departments.

Verify received materials against purchase orders and invoices.

Maintain vendor records, purchase records, and procurement documentation.

Follow up on pending and delayed orders.

Coordinate with accounts regarding invoices and supplier payments.

Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers.

Ensure purchases comply with company policies and approved budgets.

Identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs without compromising quality.

Prepare periodic purchase reports for management.

Handle purchase-related issues, discrepancies, returns, and replacements.
