Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background and proven experience in the heavy metal manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing engineering materials, managing suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely procurement of materials in line with project and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for mechanical, industrial, and engineering materials.
• Source raw materials, steel products, metal components, machinery, spare parts, and consumables as required.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and process purchase requests, purchase orders, and related procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Stores, Quality, and Finance departments to meet material requirements.
• Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
• Evaluate supplier performance regarding quality, cost, delivery, and service.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchase reports.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company procedures, approved budgets, and technical specifications.
• Follow up on material shortages, delayed deliveries, and quality-related supplier issues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant Purchase/Procurement experience.
• Mandatory experience in the heavy metal manufacturing industry.
• Previous work experience in Dubai/UAE is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of mechanical materials, steel products, industrial components, and engineering specifications.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile

A technically sound and commercially competent professional who can independently manage procurement activities, build strong supplier relationships, control purchasing costs, and support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Interested candidates must have relevant heavy metal manufacturing and UAE purchase experience.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
